The nutrition and health curriculum emphasizes health promotion, chronic disease prevention, human nutrition, and preparation for careers in the healthcare field. Graduates from this program may develop community programs to promote nutrition, health, and wellness, educate people about the relationship between diet and health, and/or work with special groups at risk for nutrition-related health problems, such as pregnant women, infants, and the elderly. Opportunities are available with local health departments/extension offices, wellness programs, and the healthcare industry. This program is also designed to develop our graduates to be competitive applicants for most accredited healthcare programs, including (but not limited to):

  • Nursing

  • Physician Assistant

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Physical Therapy
